Hi, my name is Veronica. I have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. It is a serious matter, everything I do is affected by it.
I've also been diagnosed with ADHD, Trichotillomania, and due to the medications I take for my Attention Deficit Disorder,
I also am anorexic. There is a difference between anorexia and anorexia nervosa. Honestly I'm not too sure what it is, but
I think it has to do with my medication. I've lived 18 years and it's been a constant struggle, often times I feel like there's
no hope and that I'm a complete freak. But I'm not, and neither are you if you have a mental illness. There's nothing wrong
with us, we are who we are, but we were wired a little differently. It hurts to be victimized because of things that aren't
in our control. In 4th grade I was made fun of for having no eyelashes. This isn't really making sense and I just want to
say. It's tough having so much more work to do every day just to function. But it IS worth it. A large portion of people affected
by these conditions are incredibly brilliant! Schoolwork, social interaction and self esteem are affected dramatically. With
proper diagnosis and medication, along with therapy you can live a productive life. So I'm gonna just say, believe in yourself,
we're the people that change the world. We're the Albert Einsteins, Abe Lincolns, Leonardo di Vincis, Edgar Allan Poes.
